Mind and Memory

To protect the self, my mind blunts the emotions and memory of the most hurtful of my experiences. Sometimes, I want to remember and feel as I did in that exact moment when I learned of his suicide when mom took her last breath when my child said he wanted to live with his dad when I was completely alone. I believe that the profoundness of sorrow increases the greatness of happiness and in between the contrast, I find life.
